Drinking from the Faucet

This oil painting was done around '02 - '04. The reference photo is black and white, so that really let me choose whatever colors I wanted. This is probably the first painting that I really started to explore color.

Well, I got the ref photo from one of my neighbor's who's family is from Iran. He didn't live there, but his sister did (that's her in the painting ~ 40 years ago). This is another one of those ginormous paintings. It's always better to go too big than too small.
